About Limited Edition Giclée Prints

Limited Edition Giclée (zhee-CLAY) Prints - Original art works are turned into digital images using the latest scanning technology. Color corrections or enhancements and size adjustments are completed. Color sampling of the original work is performed to ensure accurate profile matching throughout the entire digital process. The completed digital art reproduction is then printed on a special archival paper or canvas with a large format printer. This new process uses multiple colors, in which millions of droplets of ink are sprayed per second, using "stochastic screening", on the chosen media. These minuscule, random dots create higher image detail and allow greater ink densities to improve tonal range, contrast, superior color and quality. Giclée prints can have an archival life of 75-100+ years whether printed on canvas or archival paper.
