Greetings,
I want to share a quote from the collector that purchased, "RICHARD'S FLIGHT."
After placing the painting in his sun lit breakfast area, he called me and said, "Please tell Richard that I need a car to get around, but if I had to sell the car or his new painting, I'd sell my car. RICHARD'S FLIGHT is filled with beautiful light
and joy– I just love it!

When I called Richard Schmid, this was his reply to the collector:

"I appreciate you sharing your wonderful response to my painting. The experience of doing this before 200 or so of my fellow artists at the Salmagundi Club in NYC was electrifying to say the least! Perhaps some of what you are responding to is the result of the energy that was generated during the event. As I worked, a certain momentum began to gather and I could hear my fellow artists responding to my every brush stroke. The whole room was with me throughout the entire course of the painting, and even when it got late, no one wanted me to stop until it was finished. It truly was one of the most remarkable experiences I've ever had as an artist. It was a hole- in- one at a thousand yards!"

Until next time, I send you all the best,
Kristen

Hi Kristen, This is very exciting for you, your new blog and I look forward to reading of your journeys in your artistic life.
I particularly was excited about your comment "a new Golden Age of representational Art in the 21st Century."
My very best wishes

Kristen,
I am so, so sorry to read about Tim. I came to the site to reconnect with him and am deeply saddened to read about him. What a talented guy he was. He left the world some wonderful pieces of his soul in his paintings.
