KathyAnderson has received many top national awards and is regularly invited to be a guest artist in prestigious national shows. Kathy is a new Master Signature Member of the Oil Painters of America and won three major awards at the OPA 2018 show exhibited at the Steamboat Art Museum in Colorado. Her paintings were also exhibited in West Wind Fine Art’s Tribute to Richard Schmid Exhibition at The Laumeister Art Center on Sept 23-23, 2018 in Bennington, VT.
In addition, Kathy is an elected Artist Member of the Salmagundi Club and the National Arts Club in New York City. She has mounted two solo shows in the National Arts Club and her artwork graces their permanent collection.
Anderson’s paintings have been featured in many articles in top American Fine Art magazines. She is a signature member of the Allied Artists, and the Connecticut Watercolor Society and the Putney Painters at Village Arts of Putney. Her paintings were also exhibited in The American Masters Shows at the Salmagundi Club, and A Tribute to Richard Schmid exhibition hosted by West Wind Fine Art in 2018.
Kristen Thies invited Kathy Anderson to join West Wind Fine Art in 2014. Kathy’s paintings have been exhibited in the three person show at the historic St. Botolph Club of Boston and several other venues along with foremost artists, Richard Schmid, Nancy Guzik, and Daniel J. Keys.
When she is not painting, Anderson can be found at her piano playing jazz–the second artistic love of her life. “The paths of art and music cross frequently and naturally,” says Kathy. She resides in Connecticut with her husband and partner, John Anderson who creates many custom designed frames for Kathy’s paintings.
